PGP Consulting is a firm that operates through a global network of consulting partners and associates.  We specialize in delivering hard financial results through our work in the human side of business: culture change, leading change, learning and development, and coaching.

Programed for failure?

Improving business results through technical means, new strategies, six-sigma, restructuring or re-engineering, is a well-travelled path.  Sometimes outstanding results are achieved; yet even ‘gurus’ in this area will admit that ‘people and culture issues’ limit success in 70 or more percent of such programs.

Not good enough.

Putting people change first

At one global client, we helped the lowest performing business unit (revenue per executive) become the highest performing one and helped them drive sales 66% higher by over a two year period.

How?  By transforming their culture and leadership capability.

Standard training approaches will not do

All programs such as this have a central learning and development component, but unlike standard ‘training’ the programs, the measures used to evaluate them are not ‘smile sheet’ results, or improved 360 degree feedback results, or even measurable behavioral changes.  The program goals are hard-nosed business goals:  increase sales by 25%, reduce costs by $50 million, develop and pilot a high-ROI innovation, or reduce product development cycle time by 15%.

Award winning successes

‘Hard’ results such as this produced by through leadership development and culture change are so rare, they grab the headlines:  who has not heard of the Ford Saturn project and GE’s workout program in the 1990s, or Cisco’s and HSBC’s programs in the 2000s?

PGP Consulting has dedicated twenty years to developing methods and approaches that deliver this sort of results.

Who we are

PGP Consulting was founded in 2010 when Paul Gibbons sold his London-based consulting firm, Future Considerations. Future Considerations delivers leadership solutions to three of the top five British corporations; BP, Shell and HSBC, as well as another dozen of the top hundred companies in Europe.

Before that, he was part of PwC’s global think-tank, and an expert on change management, leadership development, culture change, and innovation.  Named by CEO magazine one of Europe’s ‘super-coaches’ in 2008, Paul has given keynote speeches and chaired several dozen conferences, and taught at two top-tier Universities.

PGP, founded by Paul, operates through a network of associates, and a number of world-class consulting partners.  This allows a flexibility to use the finest people and partner-firms for each assignment, rather than just in-house capability.

Our clients have included the following global companies: PwC, KPMG, Barclays Bank, HSBC Bank, Union Bank of Switzerland, Anglo American, BP, Shell, British Airways, the United Nations, and numerous government agencies.
